December 1 - Psalm 130:5

What are you hoping for this Christmas? Do you remember looking at dozens of photos of things that you hoped you might receive under the Christmas tree or in your stocking as a child?

In Psalm 130:5, it says, “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.” The hope here is found in the LORD. It is not a wish for something you can hold in your hands or see in a photograph. It is something that no money can buy. It is also not a wish, but a certainty –a guarantee. It is priceless! What kind of gift could this be? Where can it be found?

We all need HOPE. Real hope is not found in gifts under a Christmas tree or in a stocking hanging from your mantel. It is found in the LORD, and we find the LORD by reading the Word of God! 

So this Christmas, if you want a gift that is priceless and beyond comparison with any other gift you could ever receive, look no further than the Bible. God’s Word is filled with many gifts,
